utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o da lenhina como mat\u00e9ria-prima para a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de bioresinas para diferentes aplica\u00e7\u00f5es no dom\u00ednio dos revestimentos funcionais e sustent\u00e1vel.<\/p><p>O projeto LIGNICOAT prop\u00f5e o desenvolvimento de materiais eco-inovadores a partir de biomassa lignocelul\u00f3sica para revestimentos sustent\u00e1veis de base biol\u00f3gica, tendo em conta a disponibilidade e a pegada de carbono dos recursos. O projeto visa aumentar o conte\u00fado de base biol\u00f3gica dos revestimentos, assegurando simultaneamente o desempenho e proporcionando carater\u00edsticas anti-corros\u00e3o, retardadoras de chama e anti-microbianas. A valida\u00e7\u00e3o dos revestimentos sustent\u00e1veis \u00e0 base de lenhina ser\u00e1 efectuada num ambiente industrial com a colabora\u00e7\u00e3o de empresas privadas relevantes.\u2028\u2028<\/p><p>A lenhina \u00e9 um produto subutilizado com um elevado potencial para proporcionar n\u00e3o s\u00f3 benef\u00edcios econ\u00f3micos, mas tamb\u00e9m benef\u00edcios ambientais, se forem encontradas aplica\u00e7\u00f5es de valor acrescentado. Embora a lenhina seja um tema de grande interesse, a convers\u00e3o da biomassa lignocelul\u00f3sica em produtos reais n\u00e3o \u00e9 trivial e ainda n\u00e3o existem op\u00e7\u00f5es comerciais dispon\u00edveis. A proposta LIGNICOAT fornece novas rotas sint\u00e9ticas para obter bioresinas &#8220;\u00e0 la carte&#8221; (PUD, ALKYD e EPOXY) baseadas em intermedi\u00e1rios de lenhina (poli\u00f3is, ep\u00f3xis, fosforilados, poli\u00e1cidos e carbonatos) para aplica\u00e7\u00e3o em revestimentos e validadas num ambiente industrialmente relevante (TRLS).\u2028\u2028<\/p><p>O objetivo ambicioso do LIGNICOAT \u00e9 ajudar a ind\u00fastria de tintas e revestimentos a fazer a transi\u00e7\u00e3o de produtos de base f\u00f3ssil para produtos de base biol\u00f3gica. Dependendo dos materiais e resinas utilizados, o bioconte\u00fado estimado dos revestimentos variar\u00e1 entre 60-90%. Neste \u00e2mbito, os resultados do projeto ser\u00e3o divulgados \u00e0s partes interessadas e aos decisores pol\u00edticos. Finalmente, a an\u00e1lise do ciclo de vida, o custo do ciclo de vida e a avalia\u00e7\u00e3o do ciclo de vida social demonstrar\u00e3o a sustentabilidade e a viabilidade das solu\u00e7\u00f5es Este projeto visa desenvolver uma nova gera\u00e7\u00e3o de adesivos degrad\u00e1veis \u00e0 base de \u00e1gua. Para atingir este objetivo:<\/p><ul><li>Ser\u00e3o sintetizados mon\u00f3meros que possam ser polimerizados por polimeriza\u00e7\u00e3o radical a partir de fontes de biomassa (por exemplo, monossac\u00e1ridos, lacteos e \u00e1cidos gordos).<\/li><li>Pelo menos 50% em peso destes mon\u00f3meros renov\u00e1veis ser\u00e3o incorporados na s\u00edntese de adesivos \u00e0 base de \u00e1gua por (mini) polimeriza\u00e7\u00e3o em emuls\u00e3o e o desempenho destes novos adesivos \u00e0 base de \u00e1gua ser\u00e1 estudado em aplica\u00e7\u00f5es exigentes em que os adesivos actuais produzidos com mon\u00f3meros \u00e0 base de petr\u00f3leo n\u00e3o cumprem todos os requisitos. Como os adesivos sintetizados s\u00e3o ser\u00e3o utilizados em etiquetas e adesivos para papel, cart\u00e3o e fibras de madeira, para verificar se as suas propriedades superam as dos adesivos ao mercado uma fam\u00edlia de emuls\u00f5es alternativa \u00e0 atual, abrindo uma nova bioalternativa no mercado, inexistente no momento da elabora\u00e7\u00e3o deste trabalho. Os 16 parceiros do REHAP t\u00eam como objetivo a revaloriza\u00e7\u00e3o dos res\u00edduos agr\u00edcolas (palha de trigo) e florestais (casca de \u00e1rvore) atrav\u00e9s da sua recupera\u00e7\u00e3o, tanto a partir de processos prim\u00e1rios (a\u00e7\u00facares, ignina, taninos) como secund\u00e1rios (\u00e1cidos de a\u00e7\u00facar, \u00e1cidos carbox\u00edlicos, arom\u00e1ticos e resinas), tendo em conta as constru\u00e7\u00f5es ecol\u00f3gicas como linhas de neg\u00f3cio. O projeto permitir\u00e1 reduzir a utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de recursos f\u00f3sseis em 80-JOO%, bem como a utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de energia e as emiss\u00f5es de CO2 em mais de 30%. Especificamente, ser\u00e3o obtidos blocos de constru\u00e7\u00e3o (1,4- e 2,3-butanodioI, estereopoli\u00f3is), materiais (PUs, resinas fen\u00f3licas, prote\u00edna de hidr\u00f3lise modificada) e produtos (pain\u00e9is \u00e0 base de madeira, espumas isolantes, cimento, adesivo):<\/p><ul><li>Taninos e hidratos de carbono de res\u00edduos florestais a converter em resinas bio-fen\u00f3licas para madeira e poliuretanos sem isocianatos (PU) para espumas isolantes, respetivamente.<\/li><li>Lignina e hidratos de carbono de res\u00edduos agr\u00edcolas para serem convertidos em resinas bio-fen\u00f3licas para pain\u00e9is de constru\u00e7\u00e3o.<br \/>madeira e biossuperplastificantes para cimento, e bioesterpol\u00edmeros para adesivos, respetivamente.<\/li><li>Ser\u00e3o tamb\u00e9m desenvolvidas lenhinas retardadoras de chama e aditivos \u00e0 base de a\u00e7\u00facar.\u2028<\/li><\/ul><p><br \/>As tecnologias de processamento desenvolvidas (quimio\/termo\/enzim\u00e1tica e fermenta\u00e7\u00e3o) ser\u00e3o optimizadas \u00e0 escala piloto (TRL6-7) para posterior explora\u00e7\u00e3o e replica\u00e7\u00e3o dos resultados. Para o efeito, ser\u00e1 implementada uma metodologia de recolha, tratamento e revaloriza\u00e7\u00e3o da biomassa proveniente de colheitas florestais e agr\u00edcolas, de poda de res\u00edduos e de processos de produ\u00e7\u00e3o de bioetanol, respeitando o princ\u00edpio da cascata para a utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o da biomassa.<br \/><br \/>Uma tecnologia \u00fanica, a carboniza\u00e7\u00e3o hidrot\u00e9rmica, para um tratamento mais eficiente em termos energ\u00e9ticos de res\u00edduos de biomassa lignocelul\u00f3sica ser\u00e1 combinada com a extra\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1gua quente pressurizada e tecnologias inovadoras de p\u00f3s-tratamento, para desenvolver produtos de alto valor agregado e evitar qualquer fluxo lateral n\u00e3o valorizado. <br \/><br \/>Todo o conceito ser\u00e1 demonstrado em projetos-piloto de pequena escala, assentes nas cadeias de valor existentes em mat\u00e9ria de madeira, alimentos e bioenergia, a fim de refor\u00e7ar ainda mais a sua sustentabilidade econ\u00f3mica e ambiental atrav\u00e9s de interliga\u00e7\u00f5es sin\u00e9rgicas entre elas. Ser\u00e3o estudadas as biorregi\u00f5es mediterr\u00e2nica, boreal e continental. O conceito hol\u00edstico baseia-se na rota central de valoriza\u00e7\u00e3o da Carboniza\u00e7\u00e3o Hidrot\u00e9rmica e no seu produto s\u00f3lido, o hidrochar, que \u00e9 convertido em pain\u00e9is h\u00edbridos madeira-hidrocarv\u00e3o com menos de 10% de bioadesivo para aplica\u00e7\u00f5es especiais como prote\u00e7\u00e3o contra inc\u00eandios ou blindagem eletromagn\u00e9tica. <br \/><br \/>Ser\u00e1 desenvolvida uma nova ferramenta digital de apoio baseada em IA para prever a disponibilidade de mat\u00e9rias-primas agroflorestais.
